And BABY makes four!

A beautiful little baby joined our family last week. We named her Lena, after Jack's great grandma, and my aunt.  She is a sweet, cuddly baby and we are so in LOVE with her.

Her adoption story is full of ups and downs (I'll save that for another post) but we are just thrilled that she is here with us now.

Leo loves his little sister, and has been such a big help. He is a great brother.

Lena is a fairly good sleeper, but we have still had some sleepless nights.  We know this period of sleep deprivation is short, so in the meantime, we are just enjoying the time with our precious little girl.  Look at that darling face, and all that dark hair! Could she be any cuter?

We flew home over the weekend, and are so grateful to be home after 3 long weeks. Jack went back to work yesterday, so I had my first day with two kids on my own.  I tried to run an errand (yikes!) but I forgot the stroller and left Lena's bottle sitting in the warmer in the kitchen. So, it didn't turn out that well. But the night before was one of very little sleep, so I blame that. But it all worked out in the end! I am learning some new skills, that is for sure.

Lena is such a sweet baby. We just adore her. We love her silky black hair, and wrinkly baby skin. She coos and gurgles and makes lots of cute little sounds. She loves to cuddle and look out the window. She also loves (or at least tolerates) the many hugs and kisses from her very excited big brother.

All in all, we are feeling so blessed.  We love our little Lena, and are so grateful to her lovely birthmother, and her act of love. It is wonderful to be a family of 4, and we know that a lot of FUN and ADVENTURES are to come...

Congratulations!!! She is a doll and you're doing a great job as a mother of two.
