Beach Day, Crab Shack

The Hansens invited us to go to "the beach" on Monday for Labor Day.  (Last weekend before the kids start school)  We drove about an hour to a spot on the Chesapeake Bay- where there are some nice sandy beaches.  The weather was hot and sunny, and the water felt great. The only bad part was the small jellyfish that would sometimes rub against us, leaving tingly spots on our skin.

We took our kayaks, and we all enjoyed paddling around in the waves.

Leo, Brooks and Hart had fun playing in the sand. Windsor had fun eating sand.

After a full day at the beach we found this amazing little Crab Shack.  The food was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.  We should have known it was good- all the locals were eating there, even the cops.

We sat outside on the picnic tables and enjoyed our shrimp, crab cakes, fish and chips. There was an incredible sunset that night!  What a perfect, perfect way to end the summer.
